David Biegler
Board Chairman David Biegler is well known for his devotion to Dallas causes. He is the founding chairman of the Old Red Courthouse, Inc., chair of Children's Medical Center of Dallas, and serves on the board of the Circle Ten Council of Boy Scouts of America. His civic and charitable endeavors include Children's Health Services of Texas and Southwest Medical Foundation. Mr. Biegler was the 2002 Linz Award laureate.
He is now CEO of Estrella Energy LP, a Dallas-based partnership.
Lindalyn Adams
Board Director Lindalyn Adams has had an ongoing commitment to historical preservation. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Sixth Floor Museum, serving as Chairman of the Dallas Historical Foundation. She has devoted her time and talents as President of Friends of Fair Park, Chair of the Dallas County Historical Commission, President of the Dallas Historical Society, and President of the Dallas Heritage Society's Old City Park. She is also Chair of Friends of the Old Red Courthouse. Her tireless efforts on behalf of the community have garnered her such prestigious recognition as the Linz Award, Dallas Historical Society's Award for Excellence, and Southern Methodist University's Distinguished Alumni Award.
Raymond Basye
Board Director Raymond Basye is a business leader and entrepreneur in the finest Dallas tradition, founder of Basye and Associates, Inc., a state of the art engineering and computer telephony solutions company. He serves on the board of directors for the Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC), the board of the Interfaith Housing Coalition, and on the City of Dallas Privatization Subcommittee. He is a member of St. Luke's Community Church and a proud alumnus of SMU Cox School of Business.
Jim Erwin
Board Director Jim Erwin is Managing Director of Erwin Graves & Associates, an event-based management consulting and capital raising company. He retired in June 2000 as Bank of America Vice Chairman, Texas, and Senior Client Executive Southwest after a 30-year career in finance and banking. He currently serves on the board of the Tate Lecture Series at Southern Methodist University, the Executive Board of the Dallas Opera, and the Oklahoma University College of Engineering Board of Visitors.
Boone Powell Jr.
Board Director Boone Powell Jr., retired chairman of the Baylor Health Care System, has recently been elected a Director of the Old Red Foundation. Powell is noted for developing a health care system linking various hospitals in a network of services, forming the Baylor Health Care System in 1981. The system, which includes a regional network of acute-care facilities, community hospitals, family health centers, senior health centers and contract affiliation facilities throughout North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, treats more than 800,000 patients each year. He retired as chairman last August, having spent 21 years at Baylor and 40 years overall in healthcare.
Judith Garrett Segura
Board Director Judith Garrett Segura retired as president and trustee of The Belo Foundation in 2004, after a 24 year career at Belo Corp. Before her appointment to the board of the Old Red Foundation, she had been a member of the Friends of Old Red and served on the Old Red Task Force. She is currently a member of the advisory council of the Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin; the executive board of the Central University Libraries at Southern Methodist University; and the advisory council of the School of Visual Arts of the University of North Texas at Denton.
Charles Tandy, M.D.
Board Director Charles Tandy, M.D., is well known for his commitment to the people of Dallas. Dr. Tandy served on the Dallas City Council for three terms from 1987 through 1993. In addition to an active practice as an anesthesiologist, he has served as chairman of the anesthesiology department, chief of the medical staff, and member of the board of trustees and foundation at Methodist Medical Center. The medical library there is named in his honor. He has also served as chairman of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology in Park Ridge, Illinois, and remains actively involved in the library-museum.
