Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture is located in the heart of Downtown Dallas, occupying the block bounded by Houston Street, Main Street, Commerce Street, and the JFK Memorial Plaza.

FROM THE NORTH
On US-75 (Central):
Drive south on US-75 (Central Expwy.) to the downtown area.
Follow the signs for I-35, and exit onto the ramp to the right (Woodall Rogers, exit 1A).
Take the Field St. exit on the right. Turn left at the light.
Follow the signs to Griffin.
Drive down Griffin to Main, turn right on Main.
Drive down Main to Houston.
Old Red Courthouse is located just before Houston St. on the left.
On I-35 or Tollway:
(Tollway drivers: South to the end of the Tollway, then follow the signs for I-35S) From 35 South, take the Commerce St. exit, 428E, which will loop around, then follow the signs to Commerce.
As you pass under a bridge into Dealey Plaza, Old Red Courthouse will be in front of you and to the left across Houston St.
FROM THE SOUTH
On I-35:
Drive north on I-35 to the downtown area.
Take the Commerce and Reunion exit, 428C.
Drive through the light at Reunion, follow the signs for Commerce St.
As you pass under a bridge into Dealey Plaza, Old Red Courthouse will be in front of
you and to the left across Houston St.
On I-45
Drive north to the downtown area.
Follow the signs for 75 North until you see the Main and Elm St. exit.
Immediately get in the left lane and take the Main and Elm St. exit.
Follow the signs to Main St., drive down Main.
Old Red Courthouse is located just before Houston St. on the left.
FROM THE EAST
On I-30:
Drive west on I-30 to the downtown area.
Follow the exit ramp to the right to Sherman, 75 North.
Immediately get in the left lane and take the Main and Elm St. exit.
Follow the signs to Main St., drive down Main
Old Red Courthouse is located just before Houston St. on the left.
FROM THE WEST
On I-30:
Drive east on I-30 toward the downtown area.
Exit 45A to the left, 35E North to Denton
Immediately take the Commerce St. exit.
Follow the signs to Commerce St.
As you pass under a bridge into Dealey Plaza, Old Red Courthouse will be in front of
you and to the left across Houston St.
Parking
Bus groups may unload directly in front of the museum on Main Street. For information on bus parking, please contact the museum at 214.745.1100.
Parking is available at area meters, for $9 per day in the garage directly under the Old Red Courthouse (entrance on Commerce Street), and for $5 per day at the parking lot adjacent to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
The museum is two blocks from either the West End or Union Station DART and TRE rail stations. For information on using DART or TRE, please see www.dart.org.
Handicapped Accessibility
The handicapped access ramp is located on the Commerce/Kennedy Memorial side of the Old Red Courthouse and leads to the front lobby. The building has elevator access to all floors. The museum floor is completely wheel-chair accessible.
