The Old Red Museum offers great summer programs for camp groups, church groups and day care groups. Beat the heat this summer and bring your kids to Old Red!
Toys and Games
What did kids do before video games and TV? Childhood favorites such as marbles, hula hoops, Toss Across, Old Maid and Spirograph return as children learn about the different toys that entertained kids over the decades. Each student will create their own Mr. Potato Head, complete with handmade clay body parts!
Building Big D
The Dallas skyline comes to life as kids test their building skills by making 3-D models of Dallas skyscrapers. Design a building of the future from construction paper, glue and markers and create architecture rubbings of the Old Red Courthouse. Learning about architecture and Dallas’s most unique building would not be complete without each child constructing his or her own stained glass lunette to take home!
